My friend and I stopped in and was we ever so glad we did. Hungry and wanting some good BBQ, we couldn't decide on the brisquit or ribs. Needless to say, we ended up getting both and boy were we ever so glad. Both were very tender. seasoned, and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Rochelles if you are looking for some great BBQ. If back in the area, I will be stopping back in. Thanks for the great food and service, BBQ Conesuers,

So very good! Our family had the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork sandwich, and each was delicious. As for the sides, my personal fave, the macaroni and cheese, was freshly baked. When the owner sat down next to us for a few minutes to chat, we knew we had found a new favorite. Highly recommended!

CASH/CHECK ONLY- While it is clearly stated, we only realized just before we ordered. The owner was kind enough, however, to insist we stay and mail him a check. Good BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Their homemade sauce had a sweet vinegary flavor with a little kick (but they also have a hot version). SO yum! Great easy stop bt Nashville and Memphis! A perfect alternative to fast food.

Continues to have the best BBQ and outstanding service. Lunch specials and corn nuggets are our normal. Highly recommend.

Food: Ribs are amazing, best ribs that I have ever tasted! Chicken was well seasoned but nothing special. If I would have know how good the ribs were I would have got a rib plate instead. Potatoe salad and mac n cheese were decent; however, they both had that straight "out of a bag/box" taste but they were palatable. Sweet tea was very good. It was very sweet but nothing to over baring and free refills on tea which is always a plus. Ambiance: staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Restaurant is clean and well maintained but very small. Many locals seem to gather here often thus it was very packed. Indoor and outdoor seating avaliable. Located next door to the pilot trust stop. MUST PAY WITH CASH OR CHECK!!!!!!! No exceptions.

Wanted to start BBQ sampling experience so we stopped here and it was great! Ribs fell off the bone, brisket melted in my mouth, pulled pork the best I've tasted. Don't forget the Mac and cheese it was wonderful! Sauce was sweet and spicy. Everyone was so friendly

Bar none indeed: This gem is less than 0.25 miles from I-40 and a must go for their ribs (1/2 rack for $11 of this quality is tough to beat). They are fall off the bone tender and hit the spot with a sweet glaze and as much BBQ sauce as you want. They pull their brisket for the sandwich and it's tender, juicy, and generously portioned on a big roll. Potato salad wasn't mushy and swimming in sauce, but instead had firm bite sized chunks seasoned just right. Will definitely be back on my next road trip though TN!

Found this lil gem next to the Pilot truck stop. Small place, I usaully call in my order when Im in the area. Staff is super friendly along with the owner Mr. Rochelle, he always greet me when I go there. I always get the Ribs and WOWZERS! Simply amazing, Ive had alot of ribs but this by far is the best, very tender and the meat just falls right off the bone! The mac and cheese and potato salad was ok but the Ribs are definately the show stopper, you wont be dissapointed with this one...... CERTIFIED! Just remember to have some cash with you and theyre closed on Mondays.

We were getting gas across the street and spotted this place - so glad we decided to make this our lunch spot! The food was great and we loved the covered porch. We tried the brisket (super tender and juicy) and the fried catfish and both were delicious. Both coleslaws were also good as was the mac 'n cheese, the fried okra, and the hush puppies (we got a lot of food). And when a lightning storm moved in, they let us bring our dog inside until the storm moved on. Everyone was super nice and friendly. We would definitely come back here when passing through again!

I wanted to love this clean, neat, slightly funky place right off the highway. Owners were soooo nice. Ribs so tender they fell off the bone. But no distinctive flavor. Bland even. Maybe I hit them on a bad night. I would try again.

Fabulous ribs, Mac n cheese, pecan pie and hospitality. Such a friendly wonderful place. So worth pulling off of freeway

CASH ONLY. Closed on Sundays + Mondays. Most tender + lean Pulled Pork and delicious Ribs, Sandwiches and plates. Your usual suspects of sides. Yummy sauces too. Truly a gem of a BBQ joint. They also serve Fried Catfish, which is fresh and cooked very nicely. The owners and the staff work hard to make you feel at home. Also, they have improved and expanded the outside seating area, with ceiling fans and all! BEST views of the setting sun east of the Tennessee River! The best choice off Exit 143, North, I-40, Hurricane Mills.

As mentioned in other reviews the ribs are AWESOME!!!!! The pulled pork was also real good. The sides were OK (had Mac & cheese, baked beans, fries & onion rings), but the meat is what we enjoyed most. Had to get a couple of fried pies to go - Apple & Peach - both were good (more breading than expected but I don't like a bunch of syrupy filling anyway so good for me). Service was friendly and prompt. When paying our bill (they only take cash & check BTW), fortunately the lady was honest and gave me back an extra twenty that had stuck together in my payment. VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY - would HIGHLY recommend stopping by when in the area.

The BBQ sandwich was the best I have ever had. The owners themselves made sandwiches for us in spite of the fact that they were closed because of a recent ice storm (they didn't want anyone falling and getting hurt). This was the most incredible example of southern hospitality and the most tender BBQ sandwich I have ever had the pleasure to eat. We will be back in the area and we definitely will stop back for Rochelle's BBQ. Thanks to the owners for a memorable experience. The sweet tea and pecan pie was also delicious, although I only had a bite of the pie - my husband LOVES pecan pie and said it was the best he's ever had.

My husband & I found this little hidden place while walking to Loretta Lynn's restaurant from the Pilot truck stop. The smells coming from the building were amazing. Upon our first visit we became fast friends with Eddy & Kim, the owners. We ordered the catfish filet plate. We were brought a heaping bowl of fresh cooked white beans and a bowl of cole slaw. The plate of fish was overflowing-along with fries & hushpuppies. We travel the entire USA. This is one of only two places we stop for catfish. The bar b q is amazing as well. We plan our trips now when going to or coming from Nashville to either stop for lunch or dinner. Great folks, great food!!!

While home for the holidays stopped in at Rochelle's BBQ. We are Tennessee transplants living in Dallas and miss good ole pork BBQ. Let me tell ya Rochelle's does not disappoint. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. And of course the pulled pork BBQ restaurant rocks!! *bring cash because they do not take cards!
(5)Micah T.
The best barbecue place I've ever eaten at! They rip literally fall off the bone and melt in your mouth and they don't even need sauce. The staff is very friendly as well highly recommended

Stopped in while driving, very delicious BBQ! Got a pork sandwich and mac and cheese. The staff are very friendly. Definitely a great place to stop in and get some good TN BBQ!

I was driving from Clarksville to Texas and needed a quick lunch on the road. I had remembered that there was this BBQ place where 13 meets I 40 so I thought I'd give it a try. There were quite a few cars there already, so that was a good sign. You know, when you are stopping at a small mom and pop kind of place you don't know what you will get. Anyway, glad I stopped. I was greeted by who I suspect was the owner, an older gentleman who jumped up to take my order. I asked for a sandwich but he suggested the combo so I'd get chips and a drink. I had the pulled pork and it was delish. I got the sauce on the side so I could control it. Didn't need any really, but I used a little bit. I told him I was going to Texas and could'nt wait to get my teeth into some Beef Brisket (national bbq of Texas, vs pork here in Tennessee). He said "wait a minute" and had the gal bring out a sample of his beef brisket. It was indeed tasty and worthy to be eaten. Had I known, I might have ordered that. So, I took my lunch and left. About 4 exits down I-40, I realized that while we were chatting and socializing, I had never paid for my meal. Being on a time crunch and not wanting to turn around and drive back, I recalled that I had taken his business card and so I called them. They were very gracious as I explained how absent minded I am and promised to send them my $6.53, which I did once I got to Texas. Overall, I would definitely stop there again, maybe even try the ribs. You should stop, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks to fellow Yelpers reviews we tried this place, and dang it was good! I got the regular pulled pork sandwich. It was nice and tender. They have 2 sauces. One hot one sweet. They were both good but the hot one was the best for me. My wife and son got brisket sandwiches and the liked them as well. The real star for us was the potato salad. It is creamy with nice chunks of potato in it. We sat out on the front porch as the inside was full and there aren't many tables. The people working here were nice. Cash and check only.
(5)PD B.
wow i'm so disappointed! after reading all the great reviews i was eager to sink my teeth into into some bbq. cash only! cash! no debit cards! move into this century. oh and you could be nicer coveying that to your customers.
(1)Laura J.
Really great BBQ between Memphis and Nashville! Very friendly service and customers. I had the fish plate: fried catfish, ff, coleslaw ( choice of vinegar or mayo) white beans and hush puppies! Go with mayo slaw and don't swap beans for mac'n cheese! My hubby had brisket and chicken and it was moist and delicious. Great sauce! Once the porch area is fixed up, will be really great!! Tables need to be wiped between diners!
(4)Josh P.
This place is incredible. Tasty little memphis style barbecue gem right off the interstate. I had the two meat plate with brisket sandwich and ribs. Why go big when you can go small and focus on quality! Thats what this little place seems to have done and its working for them. Highly recommended.
(5)Benjamin W.
Okay, I'm a big fan of trailer (fill in the blank)'s. This is a BBQ restaurant that is in a trailer, and it is awesome. The place is only big enough for four tables, 50% of which are legally required to have an angry trucker seated there. I filled the angry biker spot as I just rode through a hurricane, and ended up stranded in Hurricane Mills, TN, and in a trailer. But the BBQ Brisket sandwich (with hot BBQ sauce) was big, cheap, and absolutely delicious. The baked beans were also great, something I normally wouldn't get, if not for the praise of the angry trucker (daughter of Large Marge). If you're ever stranded in Hurricane Mills, you should check this place out, as there aren't really any other options anyway.
(5)Jerone A.
Great pulled pork and pretty good brisket. The hot sauce for the pulled pork is really good. Would go again when I am passing through next time.
